We to be frank , no need to remember the shortcuts for executing our programs in the RUN window , everything you need to remember is it is not necessary to remember everything , but you have a trick , when ever and what ever program you want , you need to know that there was a secret behind the RUN in Windows , i along with my TipsnTricks4All team made some research and found that everything executed from the RUN is found in the System Root ( %SystemRoot% ) and System32 folder.

Here are the list of RUN Commands/Shortcuts

  • notepad ( For Notepad )
  • cmd ( For Command Prompt )
  • command ( For Command Prompt )
  • wordpad ( For Wordpad)
  • write ( For Wordpad)
  • winword ( For MS – Word )
  • excel ( For MS – Excel )
  • services.msc ( For Services )
  • explorer ( For Windows Explorer )
  • iexplore ( For Internet Explorer )
  • fonts ( For List of installed Windows Fonts )
  • winhelp ( For Windows XP help )
  • winhlp32 ( For Windows 7 help )
  • regedit ( For Windows Registry Editor )

To know the list , just type %systemroot% in RUN , then all the exe files can be accessed without their extension in the RUN
